Dr. Rosemeire Santos-Teachout DDS, MS is the Dansville Family Dental Care Dentist who makes every smile unique. Her impeccable background, training, and reputation reflect her dedication to dental excellence.
Dr. Teachout was born in Brazil and received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 1992 from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil which is one of the most reputable as well known for their clinical and research Dental program in the State of Minas Gerais. After receiving her bachelor’s, she worked on her own private practice and community dental clinic. She also conducted Research on “Antibody response to gum disease pathogens in individuals with Down syndrome.
Initially, Dr. Teachout came to United States of America for the Development of Research Project on Oral Evaluation in Down Syndrome Individuals, at The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry. Later, she graduated in General practice residency from The Ohio State University in 1996, Master’s in Science Degree from The Ohio State University in 1997 and Advanced general Dentistry Residency program from University of Rochester, Eastman Dental Center, New York in 1998. Dr. Teachout worked for Sister Rene Community Clinic, Hornell from 1999 till she set up her own Private practice in Dansville in 2001.
Dr. Teachout has dedicated herself to provide superior and quality dental services to the families for 25 years.
Dr. Teachout is recognized and has been invited around the world including The World Health Organization to lecture about the “Oral Care for Individuals with Developmentally Disabilities” through the University of Rochester. She is also known for her Publications in textbooks, articles and various presentations. In addition to her position as a full-time General Dentist here at Dansville Family Dental Care.
Dr. Teachout strives to provide the highest standard of care and quality of work to her patient’s by using the latest techniques, technology and materials in dentistry today.
Recently, Dr. Teachout received Associate and a Bachelor of Ministry Degrees from Nation to Nation Christian University, sponsored by her home church “Celebrate Family Church”, Leicester, NY under the leadership of Pastor Eric Scott.
